This same attention to detail carries into my Wellington workshop, where I restore antique and vintage furniture with a focus on repair, refinishing, and preservation.Whether it’s a family heirloom or a more recent vintage piece, the aim is to bring it back into use while retaining the character and originality that give it value.I carry out antique furniture repair, timber refinishing, and structural restoration using appropriate methods and materials. Wherever possible, original components are retained and repaired rather than replaced.

I approach carpentry and restoration carefully and transparently, with a focus on doing the job properly rather than rushing the process.Most enquiries begin with a Job Sheet, based on your brief, photos, and any details provided. This outlines the likely scope, approach, and estimated allowance before work goes ahead.The Job Sheet informs the best approach: either a fixed-price quote or charge-up work.Where the scope is clear and predictable, I can provide a fixed-price quote. This usually suits smaller or well-defined work.Where the scope is less certain, the work may be carried out on a charge-up basis, with labour and materials clearly itemised as the job progresses. This often suits older homes, where hidden issues or variations may be revealed once work begins.All work is handled directly by me, with clear communication, careful workmanship, and reliability.Send through a few photos and a brief description of the work, and I’ll let you know the best next step.
